New offices launched in Romania and Poland

We are delighted to announce our further expansion into two new European markets: Romania and Poland.

This strategic move marks a significant milestone in our mission to bring efficient, transparent, and technology-driven auction services to the used machinery and surplus asset redeployment industry right across Europe.

The decision to expand our team with offices in these countries reflects the growing demand for industrial asset solutions in Eastern Europe with a new office in Bucharest and Częstochowa. Both countries boast thriving manufacturing sectors and a strong appetite for innovation, making them ideal locations for Apex’s next phase of growth.

Meet the new team in Romania:

In Romania, Cristian Vartaci-aconi and Radu Matei are our new Apex Strategic Partners, at our hub for regional operations, offering tailored support and localized expertise.

Cristian, with a degree in Physics and an Executive MBA, combined with over 15 years’ experience in the industrial auction sector offers unique insight and rare expertise in the auction field. Prior to this, Cristian gained invaluable senior manufacturing experience at a broad array of international companies, and owned and managed one of Romania’s largest furniture manufacturing companies. He also pioneered the industrial auctions business in Romania, organizing the country’s first auction of its kind 15 years ago in cooperation with a Dutch partner 

Cristian says “Fifteen years ago, I introduced industrial auctions to Romania. Today, by partnering with Apex Auctions, a global leader in the field, we combine their international reach with our local expertise to help Romanian companies achieve better results and higher value when selling heir used machinery.”

Radu has a degree in Psychology and joined forces with Cristian 6 years ago, beginning his auction career in the back-office operations but quickly progressing to Sales Manager. Radu is responsible for managing relationships with sellers and guiding them through the auction process. With a strong background in sales, client support and new business development he joins Apex with a huge appetite to drive forward business in Romania and the surrounding region.

Meet the new team in Poland:

Meanwhile, Zuzanna Bodziachowska-Kluza, Michał Kluska, Konrad Kluza and Sandra Symonowicz are set to play a pivotal role in Apex’s expansion into Central Europe. Poland’s robust industrial base and strategic location make it a key market for cross-border auctions and asset redeployment in the region.

Zuzanna is the Apex Strategic Partner and Manager of our Poland office. An accomplished sales manager with extensive experience in the metalworking machinery sector. Zuzanna specialises in introducing new brands to the market, building and managing sales teams, and collaborating with international clients. In recent years, she was responsible for developing the Polish branch of an international auction company.

Konrad is our Site Project Manager having gained vast experience in the construction and manufacturing industries, managing production, client relations, and team coordination. In recent years, he was responsible for developing the Polish branch of an international auction company, handling both client acquisition and auction organization. He is passionate about fieldwork and exploring new industries through face-to-face meetings with clients and on-site visits.

For over 15 years, Sandra (our hugely experienced New Business Manager) has been working with people – mainly in sales and administration. she handles customer service, prepare contracts, manage orders, and takes care of everything related to the daily functioning of the office. She likes to have everything organized and buttoned up to the last detail and values clear communication and good cooperation – both with clients and with the team.

Michael is a Computer Science Engineer and a graduate of the Częstochowa University of Technology. For 8 years he ran his own CNC services company. For 8 years he his own CNC services company, and is joins us as our Auction Coordinator and Sales Manager Assistant. He specialises in customer service, negotiations, and building strong business relationships.
