MCC series cooling towers are used as an alternative to open cooling circuits with heat exchangers in cases where the user's cooling fluid (water or glycol) must maintain its chemical and physical properties over time and be free from contamination by external factors. The cooled fluid circulates through the tubes that make up the heat exchanger coil, located inside the cooling tower. The coil is in turn continuously wetted by water contained in the tower's reservoir, which is then transferred to a spray system with nozzles via a suitable pump. The combined effect of evaporation of a small portion of the spray water and the turbulence generated within the tubes cools the fluid, which can then be returned to the user's equipment.
